Physical Geography

Europe, the second smallest continent in the world after Pacific, has an area of 10,530,751 km ², representing 7% of land area.
Characterizes Europe, both geographically (as much climate impact as its human geography), the high average amount of coastline and ocean due to the presence ofnumerous peninsulas, bays, inland seas and islands. This and the influence of the Gulf Stream and the proximity of the hot deserts of Africa and Asia than in Europe determine preponderates, despite latitudes, an exceptionally mild temperate climate for human habitation.
Europe also, if considered in the traditional way as a continent, the flattest continent, with an average height of 230 meters.
